Retirement, Renewal, and a Return to Creativity

Hi, I’m Kathie, the heart behind Timber, Trends, and Friends! My crafting journey began back in 2019 when I first launched my business, pouring my creativity into handmade pieces and fun DIY experiences. Unfortunately, like many small businesses, the pandemic and some personal health challenges forced me to step back. But after 33 years of teaching—and a recent retirement—I’m excited to pick up my tools again and bring Timber, Trends, and Friends back to life!

Outside of crafting, my biggest joys are my family. I’m a proud mom to four, a mother-in-law to one, and a very happy “Gram” to four amazing grandchildren. My love for creativity runs deep—from digital scrapbooking to teaching Photoshop and graphic design, I’ve always believed in sharing the joy of learning and creating with others.

My passion for woodworking comes from my father, who could build anything from scratch and taught me to appreciate the beauty of working with my hands. Today, I carry that same love for crafting into every project I create and every workshop I host. Timber, Trends, and Friends is more than a business—it’s my way of connecting people, inspiring creativity, and helping others make memories they can treasure.
